Seeking to foster communication and the exchange of ideas between researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Children’s Research Institute, shared spaces are located at the intersection of the two lab wings. Core areas on two floors joined by a monumental stair provide easy access for researchers looking for a brief respite and encourage "intellectual collisions."
"The facility has been simply wonderful and has given us maximal flexibility as science has changed. With the recruitment of many new investigators, (drawn, in part, by the high quality facility) we have had a dramatic increase in extramural research funding as well as philanthropic support."
