Introducing John Moorhead, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Learn about the thoughtful design approach of TK&A's newest leader
John is a gifted communicator. His ability to connect with people and understand their needs, then translate conversations into appealing design solutions is inspiring. John draws by hand every day. He pairs his passion for architecture with extensive knowledge of various technologies that expedite and support our process. We're proud to call him ours.
A Human-Centered Approach
TK&A's attitude towards design is rooted in our belief that architecture is a social, shared experience that brings people together. We believe that buildings have a long-term responsibility to the occupants who live, work, play and learn inside them. It is our pleasure to design spaces that support, delight and surprise inhabitants.
The Importance of Process
We don't have shortcuts, or ready solutions to the complexities of building today. Each design problem is an exciting progression of search and discovery, constraints and inspiration, synthesis and invention. Our process is inclusive: it starts with our clients and the people they help. We lead through active listening. We create forums for stimulating discussion.
If Our Buildings Could Talk
They would share the rich stories of their occupants and neighborhoods. They would reflect the teams that imagined them in support of common goals. But they aren't "TK&A" buildings. They belong to the communities they serve and are shaped by their inhabitants. Great design attracts talent, inspires creativity, and fosters positive interaction.
